The White Lady Hotel, hotel in Kinsale

The White Lady is a boutique hotel located in Kinsale, 656 feet from the River Bandon. It offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi, an award-winning restaurant and a nightclub.

We very much loved the location, being comfortably walking distance from the center of Kinsale. We loved the in house pub and restaurant, both filled with happy people and great food every night. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Who made our stay truly memorable was Anthony, co-owner of White Lady Hotel and restaurant. His cheerful and welcoming personality, his attention to every detail and to each and every guest made us feel special and made us want to come back in the future.

Kinsale is a cute little town. Beware. Not easy to drive in. Good place to spend a few days.We used it as a base for going to Mizen head, Baltimore and other places south of Cork. Also note, and this is very common in Ireland, don't get up a the crack of dawn and expect to find a place open for breakfast. A few opened at 8 but more often opened at 9 and even 10. Earlier than 9 were few and far between. Those that are tend to be crowded for obvious reasons.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice. There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs. Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day. Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Fantastic location. Right in the middle of the town so it's so close to everywhere. Olivia at reception was a great help with local knowledge and swiftly booked us in. We were in room 4 overlooking the main street, a huge room! Bathroom is small but adequate with a fairly smallish corner shower but met all our needs. The full Irish breakfast was huge! Very nice breakfast area and the staff were excellent. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel as we preferred to eat out and about in Kinsale but the hotel restaurant appeared busy

John is an absolute gent. I can't speak more highly of him. His bnb is beautiful. This was the best bnb we have stayed in. The room was lovely, good power from the shower, bed was comfy and beautiful views. The breakfast was excellent. You wouldn't get it as good in a hotel who have all turned to buffets. The breakfast here is fresh, cooked to order. The walk to town is lovely, quiet country road into the heart of kinsale, takes maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Would 100% recommend.

After spending a week staying in hotel rooms and eating in restaurants, having a few days in a house with a large kitchen where we could cook our own food was fantastic. There is a grocery store less than five minutes away with a car. The 3 bed, 3 bath townhouse is brand new and located outside of the city center so it is quiet. There is also private parking. Mark and Eileen were attentive wonderful hosts (thank you for the fresh lilies and tulips on the table).

The B&B is tiny but beautifully decorated. The location in the middle of Kinsale is excellent. The room and bathroom were small but very clean and they have anything that you might need. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. The staff/owner was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was plenty and very tasty. We were able to find street parking (free) in the back of the hotel.

Location was very good and within easy walking distance to everything in the cute town of Kinsale. Room was fairly small but very clean. Very nice amenities (shampoo, conditioner, water) and as we chose the bed and breakfast option, we were given €15 per person at the amazing restaurant downstairs in the facility. The Eggs Benedict was simply to die for - the best I have ever had

The hotel has a very unique character that you seldom see. Rooms are cozy and have all the essentials. The hostess was very welcoming and told us about all the best pubs and restaurants. The parking in Kinsale is very difficult, so having a few parking spots on site was very convenient, especially for tourists. I look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Ireland!

We had an excellent stay at Blind Gate House! Lily and the rest of the staff are very friendly and accommodating for their guests. Our room was quite comfortable with plenty of space. Breakfast was delicious, especially the smoked salmon. We were only able to spend one night in Kinsale during our trip, but we’d stay at Blind Gate House again in a heartbeat!

Great space if you are travelling with kids, gives you freedom to be able to relax with it out having the kids confined to a hotel room. Location is great as you are a short walk to some of the best restaurants Kinsale has to offer. The owner Michael was great to deal with and very helpful. My family and I will definitely be returning

The breakfast was excellent. The room was good once I realised that all the hotel used old furniture. Location was excellent - right in the centre of Kinsale. There were very few restaurants open and the Blue Haven hotel was suggested (I believe a sister hotel) - the food was excellent.

The hotel was central to everything in town. It was so close to tons of shops and restaurants and even a boat tour for the harbor. Parking was onsite so I didn’t have to worry about where to park. Everything was so nice! Breakfast was included and was great.
